Today was memorable for several reasons, but mostly because I finally tackled the cellar and dragged out the huge paintings that were originally intended for an exhibition at a huge venue, but never happened (I think the manager was fired but I never found out officially!). After months of dithering I have finally gone back to painting what I really enjoy: colourful, sometimes nonsensical abstracts. They do get a bit surreal at times, but not intentionally! I've just posted some archived paintings to artwanted. I used to post everything there, but I got tired of the system. It's been a busy week and I haven't done much painting. But I sorted paintings out for exhibiting and must repair damage to some of them, including this one, which is a so-called "bas relief" i.e. a bit 3D. The exhibition opening was really very nice and well attended, and may lead to a solo exhibition for me! I felt quite sorry that I have left that painting group, but I have to be realistic. It was quite a busy week, dominated by having to decide about the pending exhibition. It's really amazing how fast time passes! It's weeks since I uploaded anything. Today I'll upload the finished product of being extremely angry after a workshop. I felt a lot better afterwards!
